Lunar Tides is a text based projection installation reflecting upon the changing relationship between the moon and the earth over time, which affects the ocean tides. Adapted from Rachel Carson’s ‘The Sea Around Us’ the circulating text draws us into a narrative which through its emergence and disappearance in the telling, seems to stretch and contract our experience of time. The work points to a possible future time which is beyond our human centred existence, hardly to be imagined.
